WHITTIER BUILDING, UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA LINCOLN

LINCOLN, NE  /  134,000 SQ FT

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Whittier Building underwent a major renovation. As one of our state's historical buildings, originally constructed as a junior high school in 1923, it was important to maintain the original integrity. The University of Nebraska is currently using the building to house researchers and faculty. The renovation aimed to preserve the original beauty while bringing the building up to 21st century standards. Original ornamental plaster, decorative moldings and interior skylights were preserved while new interior finishes were integrated to enhance the original design.
